Building contracts have been awarded for the meeting room project at the Mohawk Community Library.
Clouse Construction of New Riegel was the low bidder as general contractor for the 2,360 square foot meeting room addition. Plumbing, HVAC and electrical contractors will be Clinger, Dundore and Sauber. Construction is anticipated to take four months to complete.
The meeting room will be used by the library for family movie nights, story time and activities for children, teens and adults. It is to be equipped with up-to-date technology to be used for a variety of library activities. A kitchenette, complete with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker, can be used for refreshment at library and community events. Restrooms are included within the meeting room.
Regular library hours and activities are to continue with minimal interruptions during construction. Parking may be reduced to on-street only at various times.
