Arlene M. Smith

Arlene M. Smith, 87, of Attica, died at 2:23 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2013, at Riverside Hospital, Columbus.

She was born March 14, 1926, in Venice Township to Clarence D. and Alice M. (Revert) Crum.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Russell E. Smith Sr., whom she married Feb. 15, 1947,; nine children, Joseph W. (Joyce) Smith, Russell E. Smith, Jr., Charles W. (Michelle) Smith all of Bloomville, Cheryl A. (Lyle) Biederman of Bucyrus, Arnold E. (Barbara) Smith, Keith L. (Lisa) Smith, Barbara L. (Kenneth) Lutz, David R. Smith all of Attica, and Susan A. (fiance Tim Stanley) Kilgore of S.C.; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Bernadine A. Stout of Willard, Carol M. (Robert) Zeiter of Wellington, Evelyn (Robert) Brown of Sandusky and Betty L. (John) McClester of Erie, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter; and three neices.

Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Attica High School and a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ, Baseline/College Hill, and a member of the Women's Guild. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and baking, especially pies.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at St. John's United Church of Christ, Baseline, with Pastor Bob Haskins officiating.

Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Monday at Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 295 W. Tiffin Street, Attica.
