Bonnie Jean Caldwell

Bonnie Jean Caldwell, 88, of Republic, died Tuesday evening, July 23, 2013, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.

She was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Marshall, Ark., to Ras and Eunice (Warren) Tilley. She married Vernon Caldwell Nov. 15, 1944, in Palaski County, Ark., and he survives in Republic.

Other survivors include a son, Charles (Sandy) Caldwell of Tiffin; a daughter, Peggy Distel of Fostoria; two brothers, James Tilley of Illinois and Danny Tilley of Oklahoma; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Betty Watts and Carolyn Laymon.

Bonnie worked several years as a cashier at Kroger, Tiffin, retiring in 1987.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, at the chapel at Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin, with Eric Kreh officiating.

Memorial contributions may be to family.
