FREMONT - A free "Drug Free Workplace Training" is to take place Aug. 13 at Sandusky County Department of Job and Family Services, 2511 Countryside Drive, Fremont.
Registration begins at 8 a.m., with the workshop running 8:30-10 a.m.
The presenter is Scot Camp from Working Partners Systems. Camp has been the program consultant there for more than eight years, dealing with client care, sales and marketing and client education and training. He is to discuss "Implications of Marijuana on Employers and Business."

Rummage sale slated at Eiry
As the Allen Eiry Center prepares for renovations, volunteers are gathering items that will not be needed after the remodeling. These are to be sold at a rummage sale 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Aug. 9 at the center, 28 Hopewell Ave.
Golf outing to support
local mentoring program
Seneca Mentoring Youth Link is ready to start matching children with mentors this fall. To support this effort, the first annual Seneca Mentoring Youth Link Golf Outing is planned for Aug. 31. It begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

Diabetes camp offered
FINDLAY - The Greater Northwest Ohio Diabetes Camp is set for Aug. 9-11 at Camp Berry in Findlay. This is an overnight camp for children ages 5-17 with Type 1 diabetes.

FOSTORIA - The next Fostoria Farmers' Market is 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the downtown KeyBank, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria.
Featuring locally grown fresh produce, this Farmers' Market has a "Healthy Living" theme.
Information on food preservation is to be available, as well as programs offered by the Geary Family YMCA and Good Shepherd Home. ProMedica Fostoria Hospital is to give free blood pressure screenings.
