Richard C. Karg

Richard C. "Dick" Karg, 93, of Fostoria, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at Birchaven Village, Findlay.

He was born May 1, 1920, in Fostoria, to Louis W. and Lorain E. (Stocke) Karg. He married Carolyn Mary Cunningham May 18, 1946, and she survives.

Also surviving are four children, Deborah (James) Pigman of Bucyrus, Lynn (Thomas) Lipton of Toledo, Timothy (JoAnne) Karg of Wooster and Melissa (Gregory) Jack of Findlay; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Stephen Karg; and a brother, Louis A. Karg.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria.

Private burial will take place at St. Wendelin Cemetery where the United Veterans of Fostoria will provide military honors.

Memorials are suggested to St. Wendelin Church or the Fostoria Knights of Columbus in care of Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830.
