Measuring the lake

August 9, 2013
The Advertiser-Tribune
Christine Kuchle (left) and Jocelyn Henderson measure a rope Wednesday to find the depth of Lake Erie from Stone Lab’s research boat. Finding the depth was one portion of the research learned by members of the Sandusky River Watershed Coalition during a visit to Ohio State University’s Stone Lab water research facility on Gibralter Island near Put-in-Bay. Kuchle is manager of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Scenic Rivers Program for the Sandusky and Maumee rivers and Henderson, a resource management specialist, is ODNR’s representative on the coalition.
