Emma E. Phillips, 86, of Carey, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 5, 1927, in Wayne, to Henry and Sarah (Cunningham) Swin. She married Craig E. Phillips Dec. 9, 1948, in Bradner, and he preceded her in death Jan. 8, 2003.
Surviving are her two children, Vicky (Michael) Lortz of Wharton and Rick (Sandy) Phillips of St. Cloud, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Wilberta Kern of Gibsonburg, Lillian Lee of Buffalo, N.Y.; and Anna McKenzie of Samaria, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant children, Vivian K. and Randy R.; a granddaughter; two great-grandsons; a brother; and three sisters.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, with the Rev. William Schultz officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery, Upper Sandusky.
