Donald Kowalewski, 78, of Bellevue, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Bellevue Care Center.
He was born Jan. 18, 1935, in Toledo, to Thaddeus and Clara (Michalak) Kowalewski. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He married Lelah (Holcomb) Kowalewski Sept. 27, 1975, in Port Clinton, and she preceded him in death in 2006.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon (Mark) Horvath and Linda (Jere) Walters, both of Bellevue; two stepdaughters, Wilma Semon of Bellevue and Mary Carlson of Fremont; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Dolly Neff of Port Clinton; and a niece and nephew.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Wanax and Geraldine Sturdevant; a brother, David Kowalewski; two stepdaughters, Glenda Musser and Barbara Carol Symington; and a granddaughter.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at York Chapel Cemetery, Bellevue.
