OLD FORT - Mike Brady scored more goals than Old Fort took shots Thursday in Columbian's 14-0 North Central Ohio Soccer Association win.
Brady scored four times in the first half to help the Tornadoes (4-1, 1-1 NCOSA) lead 10-0 by intermission. He added another score in the second half.
Christian Kiesel and Garrett Bean each added two goals, and Nolan Miller, Hunter Stark, Spencer Pauly and Tyler Bowers all added one.
Old Fort also allowed an own goal in the first half.
Kevin Miller, Kiesel, Stark and Pauly each added two assists, and Jared Anderson had another.
Eric Bell stopped 14 shots for the Stockaders (0-3, 0-2) in the loss. Columbian out-shot Old Fort 31-3, with John Funk tallying TC's lone save in the second half.
Rams steamroll Ada
UPPER SANDUSKY - Sarah Rall and Sierra Carey each scored twice in the first half and Abigail Gerber added two goals in the second half Thursday in Upper Sandusky's 10-0 whitewash of Ada.
Alexus Mundy had Upper Sandusky's other goal in the first half.
Trudy Daughenbaugh, Mattea Wilson and Amber Hildebrand all scored in the second half for the Rams (4-1).
Carey added three assists, Jaime Calvin had two and Ella Koepke and Allison Moser each chipped in one.
The Rams out-shot the Bulldogs 25-3. Rielyn Castle tallied 13 saves for Ada.
Falcons soar past Calvert
Anthony Traxler made 20 saves in goal for Calvert, but he couldn't stop them all. Riverdale's Justin Riegel was able to get two across the line. Jackson Hankins and Chad Pever each added a goal in a 4-0 Falcon victory, dropping the Senecas to 0-2 on the year.
Calvert coach Mike Fabrizio though was happy with the improved performance of his team compared to their opener.
"This was a much more competitive game," Fabrizio said. "Our kids gave us some great effort. There was good effort in the midfield by Mike Bennett and Jack Burtis. Ammon Best up front got a few shots off for us. We just couldn't find the back of the net. It was a great effort by our squad. We're improving."
Rams suffer first loss
VAN BUREN - Van Buren scored all of the game's goals in the second half Thursday, handing previously unbeaten Upper Sandusky a 3-0 loss.
Trenton Boyette snapped the scoreless tie with 37:48 left to play for the Black Knights (3-2, 2-0 North Central Ohio Soccer Association).
Alex Dewey scored 13 minutes later and J.J. Mowery tacked on a goal with just under 13 minutes to go.
Nathan Maynard stopped all six of Upper Sandusky's shots.
Clay Musgrave tallied 15 saves against 18 shots for the Rams (4-1, 1-1).
