Police are searching for a man who ran from law enforcement early Thursday morning as they attempted to arrest him on a felony warrant.
Tiffin Police Chief Fred Stevens said the Tiffin Police Department and Seneca County Sheriff's Office had gone to Willow Creek Apartments, 575 E. SR 18, to arrest Dennis E. Dinan, 30, on a warrant charging him with domestic violence, a felony violation, when Dinan was spotted in the apartment complex's parking lot.
A foot chase ensued into a wooded area, he said.
According to Tiffin Police reports, the chase started around 1:15 a.m. and the police canine was requested to assist. After about an hour of searching, police were unable to locate Dinan.
Stevens said the felony domestic violence warrant was issued for Dinan about a week ago and stemmed from a domestic situation inside the city limits.
He said Dinan drives a green Ford F-150 with license plate number FGB874.
Anyone with information about Dinan and his whereabouts is asked to call the Tiffin Police Department at (419) 447-2323 or send a private message to the police department's Facebook page.
