Ernest E. Gill, 69, of Clyde died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Stein Hospice, Sandusky.
Ernie was born in Fremont April 27, 1944. On June 27, 1991, he married the former Judith Welter.
He is survived by his wife; four children, Angela (Ken) Paul, Worthington, Donna (Frank) Krupka, North Ridgeville, David (Melissa) Powell, Atlanta, Ga., and Gregory Powell, Clyde; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Lois (Roy) Farmer, Selma, Ala., and Sherry (Ted) Boyer, Green Springs; father-in-law, Bill Welter, North Ridgeville; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Welter, Middle Bass Island and Beth (Frank) Motta, New Concord; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gill was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen (Burdette) Gill; brother, Don Gill; and mother-in-law, Betty Welter.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at the funeral home with the Rev. Ray Kovach officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery with military rites provided by the Clyde VFW and American Legion.
