Three Fostoria teens, two who are members of the Fostoria High School football team, were arrested early Sunday morning after they allegedly assaulted two people and drove away.
According to Bowling Green Police reports, three Fostoria males - two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old - were arrested on Interstate 75 under the Napoleon Road overpass after their vehicle was stopped by Bowling Green State University Police.
Before the stop, a caller had reported to Bowling Green police that four males jumped out of a white Chevrolet Blazer and beat up two people in the 800 block of Sixth Street. They then drove away.
The caller reported the assault just before 5 a.m.
The victims were transported to Wood County Hospital, the report states.
The vehicle was released to its owner, who went to Bowling Green to pick up her son. According to the report, two people also were released.
The three boys, who have been charged with felonious assault, were transported to the juvenile detention center.
