A man who ran from police last week as they attempted to arrest him on a felony warrant was apprehended Monday afternoon.
According to Tiffin Police reports, a caller had reported around 4 p.m. that Dennis E. Dinan, 30, was at a first-block St. Clair Street residence. The caller said his truck was parked behind the house.
Police responded to the residence where they got permission to search it. They then found Dinan hiding in the basement, Tiffin Police Chief Fred Stevens said.
Dinan, who police had chased into a wooded area last week as they attempted to arrest him on a fourth-degree felony domestic violence warrant, is being held at Seneca County jail.
The warrant stemmed from a domestic situation that occurred inside the city limits last month.
Dinan is scheduled to appear in Tiffin Municipal Court today.
