CASA of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties has announced the appointment of Leslie Adams as Wyandot County program coordinator.
Adams was sworn in as a CASA volunteer in Seneca and Sandusky counties in 2007. She graduated from The University of Toledo in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in legal studies.
"CASA has always been an organization that I have been passionate about. I am honored to be accepting a position within the organization which will allow me to devote my time and effort to ensuring that children's best interests are protected. I am also looking forward to having the opportunity to give back to the same community where I was raised." Adams said.
Born and raised in Wyandot County, Adams lives in Tiffin with her husband and four children. Louanne Hufford previously held the position for 15 years.
CASA provides trained adult volunteers to advocate for the best interest of children in court cases of abuse and neglect. CASA volunteers research the background of the families involved and present that information to the court.
