Tiffin's Hampton Inn has a new look, and General Manager Gina Russo said the remodeled hotel is a "welcome surprise for guests."
Russo said the remodel is a reflection of the current "Hilton brand standard" and was an opportunity to update and refresh the building and grounds, which were built 12 years ago.
In addition, she said, the project is an example of "reinvesting in Tiffin" and is a positive sign of local prosperity.
Russo said the Hampton has gotten a "great reaction" from visitors, who see the changes as "up-to-date and warm." The hotel now has a more relaxing atmosphere, she said. "We look like a Hilton property."
Russo said updates to the Hampton Inn include a community area for guests that features computers and television, allowing for comfortable socializing and convenient access to media, a refreshed meeting room for parties and business functions, and a guest social on Wednesday evenings, which offers beverages and snacks. Infused fruit waters also are to be offered to guests in the evenings, she said.
In addition, guest rooms at the Hampton are being remodeled with new wallpaper, tile, bedding and drapes, Russo said, ensuring Hilton standards are met with each guest stay.
Outside the hotel, she said, the hotel's grounds have been upgraded, and diamond parking now is being offered, which Russo said has been very popular with guests.
Additional improvements inside Hampton include a refreshed pool area and an improved fitness facility with Precor equipment, weights, a weight bench and an exercise ball, she said.
Not only is the renovated facility a positive reflection on Tiffin, but Russo said the Hampton used all local contractors for the remodeling work.
In addition, local wood and stone are featured throughout the hotel.
Russo said a recent ribbon-cutting at the Tiffin Hampton Inn had a wonderful turnout.
