Gloria M. Haugh, 75, of Tiffin and formerly of Bascom, passed away Friday morning, Sept. 13, 2013, at St. Francis Home.
She was born May 28, 1938, in Dayton, to Ralph and Bernice (Wenning) Fiala. She married Richard A. Haugh Jan. 9, 1960, and they later divorced. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Ted (Karen) Haugh of Tiffin; three daughters, Sharon (Bill) Wasem of Wakeman, Dottie (Jerry) Smith of New Riegel, and Brenda (Bil) Danner of Indianapolis, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Barry (Phyllis) Fiala of Amherst; and two sisters, Judy (Jack) Haslinger of Aurora and Myra (Ron) Limbach of Fairborn.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Gloria graduated in 1956 from Bellevue High School, from business school in Dayton in 1960 and from Sandusky School of Practical Nursing in 1967. She was an LPN at St. Francis Home, Tiffin, Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria, Riverfront Manor, Tiffin, and at Virginia Lee Care Center. Gloria was a member of Sts. Patrick and Andrew Catholic Church, Bascom, and was a volunteer at The Ritz Theatre, Tiffin. She enjoyed music, collecting antiques, walking and helping the elderly and disabled.
Her Mass of Christian burial is 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 16, at Sts. Patrick and Andrew Catholic Church, Bascom, with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass.
Burial will follow in Sandridge Cemetery, Bascom.
Friends may visit with the family from 2-6 p.m., today, Sept. 15, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian wake service will begin at 1:30 p.m.
