James E. "Jim" Huth, 67, of Fostoria, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at Fostoria Community Hospital.
He was born Sept. 5, 1946, in Fostoria, to Richard and Alice (Mestrez) Huth, and his mother survives in Fostoria. He married Teresa Reinhart May 1, 1986, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and she survives in Fostoria.
Also surviving are two daughters, Maggie Huth of Columbus and Molly Huth of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two sons, Jason (Cortney) Huth of Reno, Nev., and Joshua (Ashley) Huth of Columbus; four grandchildren, Maddie, Cameron, Grace and Emma Huth; and three sisters, Karen (Gary) Zimmerman of Avon Park, Fla., Kris (John) Hadacek of Pisqua, N.C., and Rebecca Filler of Stockton, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Richard Huth.
Jim was a United States Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, where a Christian wake service will be at 3:45 p.m.
His Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, where a rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. The Fostoria United Veterans will provide military honors following the Mass at church, and a funeral luncheon will follow in the parish hall.
