Diana R. Swartz, 34, of Detroit, Mich., and formerly Upper Sandusky and Sycamore, died at 12:50 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Sinai Grace Hospital, Detroit.
She was born Dec. 10, 1978, to Ronald E. Swartz of Upper Sandusky and Yvonne (Brewer) Swartz Pauley of Sycamore. She was never married.
She is survived by her stepfather, Robert "Bob" Pauley of Sycamore; a sister, Stephanie (Nick) Hufford of Sycamore; a brother, Bryan E. (Dana) Swartz of Upper Sandusky; a half brother, Gary A. Swartz of New Washington; a stepsister, Belinda (Steve) Holman of Sycamore; a stepbrother, Greg (Lisa) Pauley of Sycamore; five nephews, Wyatt Swartz, Carson, Cameron and Chase Hufford and Dustin Swartz; one niece, Kendra Swartz; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Anthony "Tony" and Betty Brewer and her paternal grandparents, Frank and Ruth Swartz.
Diana was a 1997 graduate of Mohawk High School. She loved to write poetry and draw. She also loved to sing, especially karaoke. She was well-known for giving bear hugs and spending time with her family.
A graveside service for Diana will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Benton Cemetery, Crawford County, with the Rev. Charles McGlone officiating.
