Clyde-Green Springs Superintendent David Stubblebine and school board members recognized two retiring teachers. Sandy Cleveland served for 35 years while Jennifer Billings served for 12 years with the district. Both received plaques and wrapped gifts.
High school, middle school and elementary students all have been involved in pre-assessment testing that will assist with determining the educational growth of each student for the school year.
Clyde-Green Springs has been invited to participate in the end of course examination process, noted Curriculum Director Joe Letterhos.
Stubblebine shared that they have had some difficulty hiring for maintenance positions and plan to use a temporary service to fill those positions. He also reported the Clyde Business and Professionals Association are providing the school buildings with inspirational banners.
The American Family Theater will be presenting Cinderella at Clyde High School performing center on Oct. 26.
The Clyde Recreation Board stated 48 kids participated in Kid Camp this summer and flag football games begin Wednesday.

Approved 2014 permanent appropriations
Accepted resignations from Victoria Edmonson, Heather Hunker, Jill Sadoski and Joe Watts.
Employed classified substitutes for 2013-14 on one-year limited contracts.
Employed substitute teachers for school year on one-year limited contracts.
Approved Diana Bilbrey as student council advisor, senior class advisor, junior class advisor, assistant director of one-act plays and assistant director of the fall play.
Approved staff personnel class changes for salary purposes.
Approved the agreement between Clyde-Green Springs EVS and the Sandusky County Board of Developmental Disabilities to provide special education services through the School of Hope in Fremont.
Approved the Sandusky County Interagency Transition agreement to ensure collaboration in the implementation of comprehensive delivery system for families with children birth through enrollment into kindergarten.
Approved retaining Pepple and Waggoner LTD for legal matters relating to education and operation of the district.
Appointed Matt Nicely as delegate to the annual Ohio State Board Association business meeting and Matt Jenne as the alternate delegate.
The board of education meets next at 6 p.m. Oct. 28.
