Charles Edward ‘Uncle’ Banks

Charles Edward "Uncle" Banks, 76, of Fostoria, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at VA Medical Center, Ann Arbor, Mich.

He was born Dec. 13, 1936, in Fostoria, to Robert Millard and Ruby Lee (Johnson) Banks. Charles served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by three sisters, Joyce Piggue, Sandra (James) Johnson, and Alice (Wayne) Cain, all of Fostoria; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Lawrence Banks; and four sisters, Carolyn Yarbrough, Rhonda Cannon, Rose Ann Banks and Bonnie Burden.

At Charles' request there will be no visitation and services will be private. Burial will be at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

Memorial contributions are requested to the Charles E. Banks Memorial Fund in care of Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, OH 44830.
