Why no local screening?

September 25, 2013
The Advertiser-Tribune

Sept. 18, two other ladies and I from the Kiwanis Manor were privileged to attend the movie "A Strange Brand of Happy" by our local boy, Brad Wise. We thought the movie was very good. Tickets were free. My only issue was we had to go to Findlay to see it. It was worth the trip. My issue is why didn't the theater in Tiffin offer this movie to its residents? My understanding was it was offered this, also, and it refused for whatever reason. If I am wrong on this, I apologize, but why couldn't Tiffin support Brad for this accomplishment? Local boy did make good. No wonder Tiffin loses business to other cities. They would rather say, "Woe is me."
