Mardella L. Wilson, 69, of Tiffin, died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
Mardella was born Nov. 16, 1943, in Old Fort, to Wayne Sr. and Pauline (Myers) Prenzlin. She married Richard A. Wilson Sept. 10, 1990, in Green Springs, and he survives in Tiffin.
Survivors also include six children, Michael Hoover, Carol Hoover and Calvin Hoover, all of Tiffin, and Christine Gooden of Bucyrus; two stepsons, John Wilson of Tiffin and Chip Wilson of Canton; five brothers, Jack Prenzlin and Glen Prenzlin, both of Tiffin, Gerald Prenzlin of Niles, Charles Prenzlin of Tiffin and Ricky Prenzlin of Republic; two sisters, Rhea Blust of Tiffin and Polly Giner of Bloomville; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mardella was a homemaker and member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin. She was a former member of the DAV, where she served as a past commander for the ladies auxiliary.
Mardella was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Betty Child; and three brothers, Russell, Paul and Clarence Prenzlin.
There will be a celebration of Mardella's life with a funeral lunch 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at the American Legion Club, 280 S. Washington St., Tiffin.
Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, Tiffin, is assisting the family with arrangements.
