Edward R. "Ed" Strausbaugh, 56, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 13, 1957, in Tiffin, to Richard E. and Rosetta E. (Brickner) Strausbaugh.
Survivors include his mother, Rosetta of Tiffin; three brothers, Dennis (Kathy) Strausbaugh of Republic, Rick Strausbaugh of Nevada and William (Tina) Strausbaugh of Tiffin; a sister, Karen (David) Plott of Nevada; eight nieces and nephews, Danielle Boes, Kasie Strausbaugh, Alexandra Plott, Samuel Plott, Nicole Strausbaugh, Aaron Strausbaugh, Kelly Strausbaugh and Ryan Strausbaugh; and one great niece, Scarlett Boes.
Preceding him in death was his father, Richard, in 1999.
Ed graduated in 1975 from Hopewell-Loudon High School and attended Owens Community College, Findlay. He managed Tiffin Tire & Retread for more than 15 years and worked at Air Force One, Findlay, as a heating and air conditioning installer. He was a member of VFW Tiffin Post No. 2858, was very talented and mechanical and enjoyed fixing and tinkering with everything. Ed also loved his animals.
His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Tiffin.
There will be no visitation.
