Mr. Smith

If Roger wasn't working you could find him golfing, cooking out and watching Detroit Tigers. He coached youth baseball for many years. He enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren at Cedar Point and the water parks. Nothing made him happier than giving gifts to family, friends and his employees.

Roger will be remembered for his quick wit, his special way of telling stories, his wonderful smile, those big blue eyes and his genuine love of people. Our world is a better place for having known him.

Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Irwin) Smith, and father-in-law, Paul Fatzinger.

A celebration of Roger's life will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church in Tiffin with the Rev. Katie Treadway and Pastor Don Loving officiating.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, at the Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home in Bloomville. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Bloomville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fraternal Order of Police Shop with a Cop Program, Cleveland Clinic Brain Tumor Research Center or the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, which was a blessing from God at such a difficult time.

Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lindseyoldsfh.com.
