Paul F. "Barney" Slaughterbeck, 82, of Fostoria and formerly Bradner, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at Fostoria Community Hospital.
He was born May 20, 1931, in Cygnet, to George and Mary "Luella" (Robinson) Slaughterbeck. He married Barbara Burdett May 14, 1952, in Ft. Wayne, Ind., and they divorced. He then married Linda Firsdon and they also divorced.
He is survived by a son, Tom (Janet) Slaughterbeck of Fostoria; two daughters, Jeanne (Dale) Daniels of Tipton, Ind., and Connie (Carl) Baker of Fostoria; two stepdaughters, Chris Buckingham of Wayne and Carrie (Dennis) Staerker of Pemberville; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Slaughterbeck; and three sisters, Jean Oberle, Lois Fultz and Georgia Feasel.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, with military honors provided by the United Veterans of Fostoria. The Rev. Donald Goodwin will be officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior his funeral Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
