A former Seneca County reserve deputy who was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated last weekend pleaded no contest to the charge Friday.
According to court documents, Guy G. Hartsel, 57, of Tiffin, who was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a first-degree misdemeanor, during a traffic stop at East Market and South Washington streets early Sunday morning, was found guilty of the charge in Tiffin Municipal Court.
He was ordered to pay a $375 fine along with court costs, and also had his license suspended until March. He was given restricted driving privileges for work. Hartsel also was ordered to complete a driver intervention program.
Seneca County Sheriff Bill Eckleberry said Hartsel, who volunteered his time as a reserve deputy, resigned soon after the incident.
