Eldon T. "Tom" Pifher, 71, of Attica, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at his home.
He was born June 17, 1942, in New Washington, to Leo and Eleanor (Smith) Pifher. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was self-employed. He was a member of the Bellevue Eagles and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians, auto racing and old country music shows on TV.
Tom is survived by two sisters, Arlene Slagle of Bucyrus and Barb (Dewey) Isaac of McConnells, S.C.; a brother, Joe (Carol) Pifher of Bellevue; and 14 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen (Faeth) Pifher in 2006; and a brother, Gene Pifher.
His Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at St. Bernard Catholic Church with the Rev. Eric Culler officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, New Washington.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 295 W. Tiffin St., Attica with a scriptural vigil service beginning at 4:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
