Cynthia L. Hawkinberry, 49, of Tiffin, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, in Carey.
She was born May 27, 1964, in Bremen, Ind., to Arthur D. and Faye (Kincaid) Stephens. She married Joseph Hawkinberry and they later divorced.
Survivors include a daughter, Jessica (Steven Jenkins Jr.) Hawkinberry of Tiffin; a brother, James Stephens, and a sister, Aileen (Lester) Dake, both of Arab, Ala.; three grandchildren, Joseph Hawkinberry, Kelsey Carroll and Hayden Adams; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ernest Ray Stephens in 2006.
Cynthia graduated from Columbia High School, Columbia Station and attended Christian Unity Church, Grafton. She moved to Tiffin five years ago from Wakeman and worked in Melmore for Carn Fertilizer & Grain Inc.
Cynthia joined the Carey Conservation Club because she loved nature and being outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. Her favorite was sitting around a campfire, regardless of the weather. She loved her two dogs, Hunter and Dakota, who met her every day as she walked in the door. She adored and loved her grandchildren and being a grandma.
A memorial service for Cynthia will begin at noon Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Friends may visit and share stories from 10 a.m. until the time of her funeral Friday at the funeral home.
