Barbara Jean (Packard) Millirons, passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, in Tiffin, surrounded by her family.
She was born April 5, 1936, to Robert and Dolores (Hipsher) Packard. She married John "Jack" Millirons July 4, 1958, and he preceded her in death Sept. 26, 2013.
Barbara graduated from Rushville High School in 1954 and attended Capital University. She retired in 1991 from Countrymark in the treasurer's office. She was a past member of Old Trails Chapter of DAC and Ann Simpson Davis Chapter of DAR. She also served as PTA president, Campfire Girls and Girl Scout leader, as a den mother in Cub Scouts and Sunday School teacher. She also was a local and state officer in other community organizations.
Barbara enjoyed her family, genealogy and participation in service organizations; along with being a long-time plasma donor. Barbara and Jack were founding members of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Columbus.
She is survived by two daughters, Ann White (Doug Stonerock) of Stoutsville and Linda DeVaughn of Tiffin; two sons James of Columbus and Mark (Julie) of Georgia; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four brothers, Ron (Carole) Packard of Baltimore, Ohio, Phillip (Sue) Packard of Delaware, Ohio, Thomas (Jan) Packard of Texas and David (Diane) of Worthington; a sister, Margaret (Roy) Vanatta of Ostrander; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Virginia Packard; stepfather, Dale Rader; and a sister, Joan.
A private family service will take place. She will be cremated and inurned at a later date at Green Summit Cemetery, Adelphi.
