Loretta Kathryn Lescallett, 90, passed away Monday morning, Nov. 11, 2013, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
She was born March 10, 1923, in Tiffin, to Lewis and Gladys (Barrick) Kimmet. She married George T. Lescallett Oct. 20, 1941, at Second Evangelical and Reform, and he preceded her in death in 1971.
Survivors include three sons, George L. (Barb) Lescallett and Gary J. (Julia) Lescallett, both of Tiffin, and Geoff T. (Barbara) Lescallett of New Riegel; two daughters, Linda Palenstrant of Fort Myers, Fla., and Lynette (Bill) Mangus of Crown City; a brother, Leo (Ruth Ann) Kimmet of Lacarne; a sister, Lois Ann Depippo of Akron; a son-in-law, Ron Oliver of Pensacola, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, LaDonna Oliver in 1992; a brother, Lewis Kimmet; a sister-in-law, Audrey Kimmet; and two grandsons, Brett Lescallett and Brian Mohr.
Loretta graduated in 1941 from Tiffin Columbian High School and retired from Tiffin City Schools as a cafeteria worker after 20 years. She enjoyed the holidays, playing cards, reading and spending time with her family at the pond.
Her funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424, with the Rev. Frank Murd officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin.
Friends may visit and share stories with the family from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the funeral home.
