Zsolt Bognar is to bring his romantic-style piano performance to Heidelberg University as the 2013 Montague Distinguished Artist. The concert is to be at 7 p.m. Saturday in Brenneman Music Hall on campus.
Admission is free.
Bognar's program is titled "Beethoven and Schubert in Viennaand." It will include "Three Pieces" by Schubert, Beethoven's "Sonata No. 6 in F Major," "Opus 10 No. 2" and "Sonata No. 21 in C Major" (Waldstein).
With recent debut performances in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Munich, Brussels, Vienna and Tokyo, Bognar released his first CD album of the works of Schubert and Liszt this year.
