David B. "Drolly" Droll, 58, formerly of Fostoria, passed away at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at St. Catherine's Manor, Findlay, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Dave was born Oct. 20, 1955, in Germany. His father, Carl W. Droll, is deceased and his mother, Mary Margaret (Leite) Droll, survives in Fostoria.
Also surviving are his sister, Cynthia M. (Brent) Stockmaster of Tiffin; a brother, Gregory J. (Nancy) Droll of New Concorde; three nephews, Sam and Clint Bogner and Martin Droll; and a niece, Megan Droll.
Dave was a 1974 graduate of St. Wendelin High School, Fostoria. He was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Reds and sold sports memorabilia. He enjoyed DJ-ing, his group was called "Deadmen Jammin'."
Dave's family would like to especially thank the nurses and aides of St. Catherine's Manor, Findlay, for the love and care given. They became part of Dave's extended family.
Visitation is 3-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, where his funeral will begin at 6 p.m.
Burial will be at St. Wendelin Cemetery, Fostoria.
