Madolyn Louise (Nichols) Key, 87, of Fostoria, died at 2:48 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.
Madolyn was born Aug. 29, 1926, in Kansas, to the late Milon Blacque and Mildred Christina (Bender) Nichols.
Madolyn is survived by a cousin, Ronald Dolch of Grove City.
Madolyn retired from Tiffin City Schools after 35 years of teaching math and chemistry. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Ohio State Retired Teachers Association, a life-member of the Ohio Education Association, the National Education Association, a 53-year member of Delta Kappa Gamma and was a longtime member of the Tiffin Glass Collector's Club, where she held many positions within the club.
Madolyn was a graduate of Jackson Liberty High School, Lakota, and later went on to receive a bachelor's degree in education from Heidelberg College. Madolyn also received a master's degree from The Ohio State University and also attended Bowling Green State University and Kent State.
Her funeral will begin at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-1221, with the Rev. Pam Easterday officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Tiffin
Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, Tiffin Glass Collector's Club or to the charity of the donor's choice.
