Violet Elizabeth Moyer, 91, of Fostoria, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Fostoria.
She was born March 26, 1922, in Shockeysville, W.Va., to Harry and Anna (Mason) Luttrell. She married Snowden Moyer Sr. June 29, 1939, in Shockeysville, Va., and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Jean (Richard) Burdock of Mount Blanchard and Anna Plott of Fostoria; three sons, Snowden (Barbara) Moyer Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., William (Irene) Moyer Sr. of North Baltimore and Kyle E. Moyer of Findlay; a daughter-in-law, Sue Moyer of Tiffin; four sisters, Betty, Ruby, Esther and Lucille; seven brothers, Calvin, Scott, Burt, Glenn, Branson, Charlie and Edgar; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, James and Steven Moyer; three sisters, May, Barbara and Marie; and three brothers, Eugene, Howard and Grover.
Her funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, with the Rev. Roger VanDonkelaar officiating. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
