Janice L. Hoy, 66, of Tiffin and formerly Upper Sandusky, passed away at 7 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.
She was born Oct. 18, 1946, in Saltville, Va., to Jack J. and Hazel K. (Sawyers) Bianchi, both of whom are deceased. She married James E. Hoy, and they were divorced.
Surviving are four sons, Timothy (Jessica Porter) Hoy of Tiffin, Charles (Linda) Hoy of Upper Sandusky, Robert Hoy of Marion and Michael (Tammy) Hoy of Marseilles; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a grandchild on the way; seven siblings, Dorothy (Harold) Kessler of McCutchenville, Irene Allen of Tiffin, Robert (Rose) Bianchi of Upper Sandusky, David Bianchi of Carey, Mary (Danny) Chester of Pataskala, James (Betty) Bianchi of Upper Sandusky and Aleta (Dwayne) Lykins of Republic.
Janice was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Bianchi.
Janice retired from the former Blackhawk Industries in Upper Sandusky. Before that she had worked for Heinz Co., along with custodial work at the Clyde Baptist Church and Quic Cut Knives.
She attended Marion Enterprise Baptist Church, and before that Community Christian Center and Clyde Baptist Church. She was a former Sunday school teacher and also was a teacher's aide at Old Fort Schools. For hobbies, Janice enjoyed going to garage sales, playing board games, and going to the kids' various sporting events. Her family and grandkids were her life, and according to her sons, Janice played such a big role in their faith in Christ.
A funeral for Janice will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Bill Williamson officiating.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at the funeral home.
