Paul Jerry "Jerry" Phillips Jr., 81, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at his home.
He was born Sept. 19, 1932, in Bluefield, W.Va., to Paul Jerry and Mary M. (Turner) Phillips Sr. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Shirley A. Burdett Nov. 24, 1956, and she preceded him in death Sept. 4, 2003.
Survivors include a daughter, Lori Phillips of Fremont; a son, Tim Phillips of Fremont; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren: and a sister, Sandy (James) Bennison of Fremont.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-grandson.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the time of his funeral at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde, with the Rev. David Gowen officiating. Burial will follow at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, with military honors provided by Clyde VFW and American Legion.
