Howard Demoyn Amrine

Howard Demoyn Amrine, 92, formerly of Fostoria and Findlay, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria.

He was born Sept. 15, 1921, in Ridgeway to the late Howard W. and Mable M. (James) Amrine. He married Isabelle Violet Farris Dec. 28, 1941, and she died Dec. 19,1974.

He is survived by two daughters, Diann (Frederick) Hay of Fostoria and Marilyn (Roger) Williams of Nevada, Ohio; a son, Ronald (Linda) Amrine of Risingsun; 10 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and his companion, Louise Stomoff of Dayton.

A brother, Robert Leon Amrine, is deceased.

Amrine served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday with an hour of visitation prior to the service. The Rev. Donald Goodwin will officiate. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Kenton.

Memorial contributions are requested to the St. Wendelin Educational Foundation, the Fostoria Area Historical Society or the American Cancer Society.
