Paul E. Lininger, 97, of Sycamore, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 3, 1916, in Upper Sandusky, to James E. and Frieda E. (Haas) Lininger. He married Dorotha A. McClain Jan. 9, 1939, and she resides at their home.
He also is survived by six daughters and three sons, Suzanne Miller of Upper Sandusky, P. Edward (Reda) Lininger, David (Beth) Lininger, both of Sycamore, Judith (John) Jacoby of McComb, Joe Lininger and Linda Passet, both of Sycamore, Becky (Tom) Roush of Nevada, Sandra Gross of Florida and Synthia (Mike) Margraf of Sycamore; 23 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Miriam (Burdell) Rupe of Ontario.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Homer and Richard Lininger; and four sisters, Helen McGinnis, Eula Lininger, Ruth Lininger and Dorothy Chester.
His funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church, Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Interment will follow at Old Mission Cemetery, Upper Sandusky.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Bringman Clark Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky.
