A man Tiffin Police Department had been looking for was located and taken to Seneca County Jail Saturday night.
Israel B. Greene, 36, of Tiffin, was arrested on four failure to appear warrants. Three were for child support and one was for possession of heroin, according to Seneca County Jail.
He also was to be charged with possession of drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor.
Sgt. Rob Bour of Tiffin Police Department said Greene was in possession of a hypodermic syringe and a spoon containing a white residue. The spoon is to be sent to a laboratory to determine what the substance was, he said.
Bour said the police department had received a call about a person being inside a residence at 140 Apple St. and that a person named Israel had kicked in the door. Police knew Greene lived there and had been looking for him, he said.
"We knew he had warrants," he said.
Greene was in the attic and came out of it to be arrested, he said.
The incident was reported at 9:30 p.m., a police department spokesman said.
