Raymond V. Blum

Raymond V. Blum, 85, of Attica, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at Mercy Hospital of Willard.

He was born Jan. 15, 1929, in Attica, to Frank and Bertha (Daniel) Blum. Mr. Blum was a farmer and blacksmith. He enjoyed hunting, rodeos and won the Ohio Saddle Bronc Championship in 1960.

Mr. Blum is survived be two daughters, Ellen Blum of Attica and Susan Blum of Grove City; a son, Charles "Chip" Blum of Attica; a granddaughter, Lesley Blum of Toledo; and two brothers, Robert (Connie) Blum of Plymouth and Richard (Rita) Blum of Willard.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda (Jenney) Blum, who preceded him in death in 1994, his parents; and a sister, Mary Ann Fox.

His Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Our Lady of Hope Church, Attica, with Fr. Paul A. Fahrbach conducting the Mass. Burial will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Attica.

Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today at Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 295 W. Tiffin St., Attica with a scriptural vigil service beginning at 4 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to juvenile diabetes through the funeral home.
