T-SPL party to celebrate readers

The junior department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host the Cookie Club party at 1 p.m. Feb. 1 in the Frost-Kalnow room.

Junior library patrons that earned a stamp on their cookie club card during the months of December and January are to celebrate with a special program featuring cookie stories and treats.

Story time to focus on youth

Children ages 3 through 6 years old are able to participate in Preschool Story Time at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library at 1 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27.

The program is to feature stories, poems, songs, finger plays, crafts and more.

No registration is required.

T-SPL to host anti-Valentine party

The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library's teen department is to host an "Anti-Valentine's Day Party," 3:30-5 p.m. Feb. 12 in the Frost-Kalnow room.

Students in grades six through 12 are invited to wear black, create black duck tape roses, make anti-Valentine Day cards and eat broken heart cookies.

Book group to read Rifka Brunt novel

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library's adult book discussion group, "Coffee by the Book: Book Group at the Wick" is to meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 20 at Bailiwicks Coffee Co., 62 S. Washington St.

The group is to discuss "Tell the Wolves I'm Home" by Carol Rifka Brunt.

Computer class for adults

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to offer adult computer classes in February.

Nine classes are to be offered offered. Registration is required.

Classes include:

Language Learning, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Feb. 5.

Intermediate Word, 10-11:30 a.m. Feb. 6.

Library eBooks, 3-4:30 p.m. Feb. 6.

Job searching and resume writing, 3-4:30 p.m. Feb. 11.

Windows 8, 2-3:30 p.m. Feb. 12.

All about digital photos, 2-4 p.m Feb. 13.

Intro to publisher, 6-7:30 p.m. Feb. 18.

Email for beginners is from 2-3:30 p.m. Feb. 19.

Genealogy on the Net is from 2-3:30 p.m. Feb. 25.

Read for prizes

BLOOMVILLE - The Bliss Memorial Public Library is to host "Light Up Your Life, READ!"

Participants are to fill out one reading ticket per book, audio book or e-book. Magazines can also be read, but participants need to read three magazines per ticket.

There are to be weekly drawings at 9 a.m. Mondays beginning Feb. 10. Tickets that are turned in after 9 a.m. are to be placed in the drawing for the following week.

At the end of the program, participants that have turned in tickets are to have a chance at a grand prize. The drawing for the prize is March 3.

Tax prep offered

BELLEVUE - The Bellevue Public Library is to offer AARP Tax Preparation Help for seniors and those with an income of less than $50,000.

Gaming tournament offered at MCL

SYCAMORE - The Mohawk Community Library is o host a Super Smash Bros. Brawl Wii tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The program is for children of all ages.

Library offers place to go after school

SYCAMORE - The After School Workshop is at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 3 at Mohawk Community Library.

The program is for children in kindergarten through second grades. A bus is to shuttle children from school to the library as pre-arranged by parents. Children are to present a pass given to them to the driver.

During the program, children can participate in two crafts, games and a healthy snack.

Space is limited to 40 children.

Adult craft night set for Feb. 3

SYCAMORE - The Mohawk Community Library is to host Adult Craft Night at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 3.

Participants are to learn how to make a fleece, beaded scarf. Participants are to bring a third of a yard of fleece for one scarf. Beads are to be supplied.

A $2 fee is required for those who do not bring their own fleece.
