Two people were cited after law enforcement officers investigated a report of a fight at 2691 S. TR 1195 Saturday night.
According to a Seneca County Sheriff's Office report, a person reported at 11:43 p.m. Saturday two people were fighting outside.
Deputy Christopher Potter said he did not know the nature of the fight between Steven R. Lewis, 23, and his girlfriend, Kara L. Porter, 21, both of Tiffin.
Potter said Porter initially told deputies Lewis shoved her, and she tripped, fell and hit the bathtub. But, she refused to cooperate and said she tripped and fell, he said.
Porter had a laceration above her eye, Potter said.
"She adamantly refused to cooperate," he said.
An ambulance was requested, but Porter refused medical treatment at the scene. Her mother advised she would take Porter to the hospital, Potter said.
Potter said Lewis took off on foot before law enforcement's arrival. He contacted the sheriff's office a few hours later, and deputies located him walking down Melmore Street, he said.
Lewis and Porter were cited with disorderly conduct, a minor misdemeanor.
When deputies were searching for Lewis, they found a large fight at Heidelberg University's King Hall, 255 Main St. Potter said he thought there was a party.
"I'm just glad we were close by," he said.
Potter said Deputy Rich Best saw a lot of people in front of King Hall fighting, and deputies stopped a couple of people. Best pursued several on foot, he said.
Potter said when he went down Greenfield Street, he saw three people walking without coats, and they initially did not stop.
Mercy Tiffin Hospital was contacted and was requested to notify Tiffin Police Department if an assault victim showed up. The victim should have had heavy facial injuries, according to a report.
Samuel D. Riggs, 19, of Hilliard, was charged with underage possession/consumption, drugs-possession/abuse and drugs-marijuana paraphernalia, according to Tiffin Police Department. He had marijuana paraphernalia in his Angry Birds lunchbox, Potter said.
