Fostoria foundation grant applications available
FOSTORIA - The Greater Fostoria Community Foundation Inc. is accepting grant applications through Feb. 28 for consideration in the spring 2014 award distribution cycle. GFCF grants support programs in the fields of education, social services, health, humanities, arts, culture, economic development and civic affairs.
Notification of grant application status is to take place in May with grant award distribution in June 2014.
To qualify for a grant from the GFCF, the applicant must be a non-profit organization in Fostoria or the surrounding townships. Also, the organization must be designated as tax-exempt under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.
The Greater Fostoria Community Foundation is interested in providing seed money for new programs designed to meet emerging needs or to expand existing successful programs. Requests that garner long-term or lasting results in the community are given priority.
