Juanita Newman Drew

Juanita Newman Drew, 90, of Herndon, Va., and formerly Tiffin, passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at her home.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles; two children, Steven (Cindy) and Susan (Rod); five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren, all living in the northern Virginia area.

During her lifetime, Juanita was employed as a government worker, bank teller and elementary school librarian. She volunteered for the Red Cross and was active in the United Methodist church. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge and traveling.

Charles' service in the United States Air Force allowed them to travel the world. Juanita was a dedicated homemaker and loved her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Her funeral took place Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at Pender United Methodist Church, Fairfax, Va.

Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
