Tigers vault into win column
ATTICA - Hunter Saylors poured in 40 points and two teammates each netted at least 14 Friday as Seneca East snapped its 0-for-17 start to the season with a 102-57 Midland Athletic League whipping of Lakota.
Saylors led the charge, going 5 for 7 on 3-pointers and 17 for 23 overall from the field for the Tigers (1-17, 1-6 MAL). He also grabbed eight rebounds.
Jack Daniel added 20 points and Ethan Caudill registered 14 points, eight boards and five assists. Corey Coppes and Adam Hall tossed in nine points each, and Johnny Diehm dished five assists.
The Raiders (6-12, 1-7) got 18 points from Dakota Bowling and 10 each from Josh Kirkpatrick and Spencer King.
Too many Clyde weapons
MILAN - Three Clyde players netted at least 13 points in a 66-58 Sandusky Bay Conference win Friday over Edison.
Derek Gray's 19 points sparked the Fliers (12-4, 7-3 SBC), Colin Gregory tossed in 16 and Eric Wiseman scored 13.
Harrison-led St. Joe rolls
FREMONT - Hunter Harrison registered a double-double and four teammates also scored in double digits Friday as Fremont St. Joe hammered Midland Athletic League foe St. Wendelin 76-54.
Harrison fueled the attack with 16 points, 14 rebounds and three assists.
Lucas Michael also scored 16 points for the Crimson Streaks (9-8, 6-1 MAL), Ben Linke added 14 points and four assists and Kyle Mercer chipped in 11 points.
Kyle Veleba backed them with nine points and three assists, Marcus Kerr tallied four assists and three steals and Ryan Williams had three assists. St. Joe finished with 21 assists as a team.
The Mohawks (6-10, 1-7) countered with Nick Root's 19 points, three assists and three steals. Gabe Walters turned in 16 points and seven rebounds, and Brady Rutter had four assists.
Bulldogs bury FHS early
ROSSFORD - Rossford vaulted out 26-4 in the first quarter, kept Fostoria in single digits in the first half and blanked the Redmen in the third period Friday en route to a 73-18 Northern Buckeye Conference romp.
Derek Mack scored 18 points for the Bulldogs (12-4), who stayed tied atop the NBC standings with Lake at 9-1.
Jayden Stanton scored eight points for the Redmen (2-14, 0-10).
BC?girls bounce back big
NEW WASHINGTON - Buckeye Central rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit Friday to clip North Central Conference rival Riverdale, 50-48.
Riverdale entered halftime up 26-14, but the Bucks (8-11, 5-6 NCC) bounced back to cut the gap to 32-30 by the end of the third quarter and outscored the Falcons 20-16 in the fourth.
Brooke Karl's 18 points paced Buckeye Central. Kilee Kimmel chipped in 13 points and Emily Weithman netted 11.
Jordan Wright tossed in 23 game-high points for Riverdale and Jenessa Taylor scored eight.
