Kenneth J. Hoover, 62, of Tiffin, passed away unexpectedly Monday March 3, 2014, in Tunica, Miss.
He was born July 4, 1951, in Tiffin, to Gilbert and Anna (Windau) Hoover and they preceded him in death.
Survivors include a sister, Patricia (Richard) Treft of Tiffin; two brothers, Douglas Hoover of Republic and Gregory (Sandra) Hoover of Tiffin; four nephews, Tony and Andy Hoover, Seth Hoover and Brian (Debra) Treft; two great-nephews, Reiyce and Seth Hoover; and two great-nieces, Cecelia Hoover and Hannah Treft.
Kenneth was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 1969 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School. He was the owner of Hoover's Jewelry and Clock Repair on Nelson Street for more than 30 years and enjoyed building lighthouses and selling them at area flea markets. He also enjoyed fishing at Lake Erie, visiting casinos and bowling. Kenneth was a member of Tiffin Moose Lodge 846 and Sons of the American Legion in New Riegel. He was a friend to all and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.
His Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Kishore Kottana officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to mass.
Visitation will be private for the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
