Norma Jean Bushkuhl, 84, of Tiffin, died at 10:40 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.
Norma was born Aug. 22, 1929, in Tiffin, to the late Joseph and Viola (Shauan) Troxell. She married Raymond "Buck" Bushkuhl Sept. 2, 1950, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin, and he preceded her in death June 1, 2012.
Survivors include her two sons, Joseph (Barbara) Bushkuhl of Ann Arbor, Mich. and Thomas Bushkuhl of Tiffin; a daughter, Jane (Ken) Uhl of Ashland; six grandchildren, Benjamin (Rosa) and Jonathan Bushkuhl, Heather (Joseph Sloop) Bushkuhl, Lucas Bushkuhl, and Kaitlyn and Karleigh Uhl; one great-grandson, Mason Sloop; a brother, Ron (Sharon) Troxell of Tiffin; and two sisters-in-law, Jeannie Troxell of Fremont and Char Troxell of Tiffin.
Norma graduated in 1947 from Calvert High School and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She retired from American Standard in the human resources department after more than 30 years of dedicated service. Norma enjoyed going to the Tiffin Eagles to mingle with her many friends, reading novels and just spending time with her family and grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kishore Kottana officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. There will be visitation for family and friends 9:30-10:15 a.m. Saturday at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Burial will be at the parish cemetery to follow the services Saturday.
