Kathryn "Kate" M. Bordner, 88, of Attica, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at her home.
She was born June 10, 1925, in Republic, to Floyd and Luella (Shontz) Hensinger. She was employed for 35 years at Midwest Industries as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Attica, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Huron County Ladies Sherriff Posse and Lazy Aces Saddle Club. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, being on the computer and family gatherings.
Mrs. Bordner is survived by her husband Ray Bordner, whom she married March 31, 1945; daughter, Susan M. Green of Attica; daughter-in-law, Sis Stockmaster of Attica; five grandchildren, Matt Green, Dawn Bordner and Chris (Tracy) Bordner, all of Attica, Mike Green of Toledo and Tracy (Mike) Sipe of Shelby; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Bordner; two brothers, John and Jim Hensinger; two sisters, Barbara Hampshire and Dorothy Herrin; and two sons-in-law, Jim Green and Bernie Stockmaster.
Her funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Attica, with Pastor Edward Hunker officiating.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 295 W. Tiffin St., Attica. Burial will follow at Attica-Venice Township Cemetery, Attica.
