Richard L. Fletcher, 68, of Tiffin, died Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
He was born on Halloween 1945, in Orrville, to LaVern and Ruth (Etling) Fletcher. He married Deborah Daugherty May 16, 1970, in Canton, and she survives in Tiffin.
Also surviving are a son, Martin (Sara) Fletcher of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Amy Fletcher of New York City, and Carrie (Jason) Fletcher-Clock of Dayton; and five grandchildren, Jake, Lizzi, Maeve, Ruby and Nelly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Fletcher.
Richard was a graduate of Orrville High School and a 1969 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969-1971, and then practiced dentistry in Tiffin for 42 years. He was a member of Old Trinity Episcopal Church, an active member of the community and an avid sportsman. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and a good friend to many.
His funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Old Trinity Episcopal Church, Tiffin, with Lay Leader Larry Schmidbauer officiating.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of his funeral Saturday at the church.
