Harley W. Luman, 91, of Tiffin, passed at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Seneca House, Tiffin.
Harley was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Old Fort, to Clarence and Rachel (Fry) Luman. He married Eunice (Huffman) in 1945 at First Lutheran Church, Tiffin, and she preceded him in death Dec. 5, 1975.
Survivors include his daughter, Carol Ann (Edward) Hohman of Carey; son, William A. (Heather) Luman of Florida; three grandchildren, Vanessa R. Carter of Logan, Nicholas E. Hohman of St. Louis and Emily J. Hohman of Carey; many great-grandchildren; and his faithful canine companion, Maggie.
Harley was a member of First Lutheran Church, VFW Post 4858 and Tiffin Moose Lodge. He was a United States Army veteran serving during World War II. He enjoyed fishing, trapping, hunting and gardening.
Harley also was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Marsha Ann Luman; and three brothers, Perry, Hovey and Paul Luman.
His funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery, Tiffin, (419) 447-1221, with military rites being rendered by the United Veterans Council.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
